One place for what changed, why it matters and what to do
RuleScan AI is a regulatory-change service, not a law library. It is built around the three questions a finance or compliance team actually asks after a new SRO or circular lands.
01
Monitoring you can see
A registry of official index pages with URL, cadence and terms note for each source.
- Health states per source: healthy, degraded, unavailable, paused, with last-checked and last-success times.
- Polite fetching: an identified bot, one request per page, conditional requests on PDFs, backoff on errors.
- No captcha bypass, no TLS downgrade, no login. A blocked source is shown as a gap, not hidden.
02
Documents and versions
Every document keeps its official URL, fetch time, SHA-256 and legal status.
- Statuses are kept apart: draft, enacted, in force, amended, superseded, withdrawn, repealed, or unknown.
- Each reissue becomes a numbered version; a diff view shows added and removed passages.
- Extraction quality is visible: text, partial, OCR needed, manual review.
03
Briefs with citations
A deterministic brief for every new document or version, in the document's language.
- What changed, who is affected, obligations as quoted sentences with a page anchor, effective dates with stated or unknown confidence.
- An uncertainty note is always present. Nothing is presented as settled that the text does not settle.
- AI enrichment is off by default. If an organisation opts in, outputs are labelled “AI-assisted” and never change a legal status.
04
Relevance for your entity
A company profile drives rule-based matching that explains itself.
- Profile fields: business type, sectors, regulators, topics, keywords and operations such as VAT-registered, importer, exporter, listed.
- Each match shows its score and the rules that fired. Mark items seen, saved, dismissed or actioned.
- Firms manage several client profiles side by side.
05
Alerts, tasks and reports
From notification to closed action without leaving the workspace.
- In-app alerts and daily or weekly email digests with de-duplication. No per-document email floods.
- Tasks with owners, due dates, evidence and comments; every change is in the audit log.
- Weekly and monthly summaries, CSV exports, print-ready views.
What it is not
- Not legal, tax or compliance advice. Interpretation stays with your advisor.
- Not complete coverage. Only the sources on the coverage page are monitored; gaps are listed there.
- Not real time. Polling runs on a schedule measured in minutes to hours and depends on source availability.
- Not an obligation library. We start with changes, versions and cited briefs.
- Scanned PDFs are read with Bangla + English OCR (first pages only). That text is labelled with its confidence and held for human review; quotes can contain recognition errors.
- No SOC 2 or ISO certification is claimed.
