FAQ

Questions we are asked, answered plainly

If your question is not here, write to us. We would rather answer than leave you guessing.

The regulator's website is free. What am I paying for?

So is the Gazette. You pay for knowing within hours instead of days, the diff between versions, relevance to your own entity and an audit trail of who saw and did what. You are not paying for the PDF.

Which sources do you monitor?

Exactly the ones on the coverage page, with health and last-check times. The first live slice is NBR VAT, customs and income-tax SRO lists, Bangladesh Bank and BFIU circulars, and BSEC notifications. Everything else is marked planned or gap.

Is this real time?

No. Listing pages are polled on a schedule, typically hourly for busy sources during business hours. Publication itself is bursty, especially in budget week. We show the last successful check so you can judge freshness yourself.

Our advisor already sends alerts.

Keep them. Advisor alerts are periodic and generic; this is continuous and specific to your entity, and it cites the same official sources your advisor will check. Several teams also use it to brief their advisor faster.

Will the software get the law wrong?

It does not interpret the law. Briefs quote the document; obligations and dates without a quote are labelled not sourced. Draft, enacted and withdrawn are kept apart. Uncertain items wait for a person.

Can you read scanned Bangla PDFs?

Not reliably yet. Some BSEC files are image-only. We mark them “scanned, summary pending” and route them to human review rather than publish a confident summary.

Is there AI involved?

By default, no. Briefs are rule-based. An organisation can opt in to AI-assisted summaries within a daily budget; those are labelled and never change a document's legal status.

Who else uses it?

Nobody yet, and we say so. Early adopters get direct access to the founders, early-adopter terms and no lock-in. We do not publish logos or testimonials without written consent, and we have none today.

How do you handle our data?

Each organisation's data is isolated at the database with row-level security, every request is authorised server-side, transport is encrypted and actions are logged. We hold no SOC 2 or ISO certificate and do not claim one. Details are on the security page.

How does billing work?

Plans are priced in BDT, exclusive of 15% VAT. We issue a pro-forma invoice, you pay by bank transfer, we verify and activate, and you receive a Mushak 6.3 tax invoice. Annual plans include two months free.

Do you cover the Bangladesh Gazette?

It is planned. Gazette PDFs use a non-Unicode (Bijoy) text encoding and the listing titles are generic, so we need a converter and per-issue parsing before we can show the text honestly.

Can you add a source we rely on?

Tell us the official page. We will check whether it can be fetched politely under its terms and robots rules. If it cannot, we will say so and list it as a gap.
